Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence held a workshop for representatives of local units and technology centers in Cairo governorate on the award’s processes and criteria, at the Cairo Center for Human Resources Development.
The organization of the workshop comes within the framework of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence’s keenness to spread the culture of excellence and institutional development, to make a qualitative leap in institutional performance, and consolidate the principles and values ​​of excellence in the state’s sectors during its journey towards government excellence.During the workshop, Ms. Soha Said, Executive Director of the Award presented an overview of the dimensions and pillars of Egypt's Vision 2030, which are consistent with the vision, mission, and objectives of the Award. She referred to the various categories of the award and the stages of its implementation, in addition to highlighting the 100% electronic transformation witnessed in the second cycle for all applications and evaluation processes. This contributed significantly to reducing the percentage of exclusions to 14% instead of 39% in the first cycle, explaining that experts from Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and other nationalities participated in the evaluation, and the arbitration process was carried out through an independent committee from the UAE.On the achievements of the second session; Soha Said explained that it included 19 categories, for which more than 2,000 applications were submitted, while 4 new categories were created, including the best government employee, the best work team, the best health office, and the best catering office.Mrs. Sally Abdel Latif, the individual awards official for the award also reviewed the role of the ambassadors of excellence in the participating bodies and the importance of recognizing and disseminating the concepts of government excellence and system standards in the entity, with clarification of the mechanisms for forming the excellent work team and preparing a timetable for implementing the standards, while following up on the implementation of the system standards within the entity in preparation.



Dr. Abdel Hakim Radwan, Training and Evaluation Consultant at the Award, also clarified the values ​​that govern the award’s operations of transparency, cooperation, mastery, and value addition, as well as the stages of the evaluation process, in addition to reviewing the evidence of the criteria of the Distinguished Unit Award in providing government services, which are based on the main axes and criteria of the system Governmental excellence, which is represented in Egypt's vision 2030, the main tasks, seven-star services, e-government, and future foresight.For his part, Brigadier General Ragai Emara, Director General of the General Administration of the Portal in Cairo Governorate, praised the efforts of the award administration to spread the culture of excellence and the keenness on continuous communication and coordination during the various stages of the award.
