Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development chaired the first meeting of the advisory group for the component of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the Administrative Reform Plan, within the framework of the project to support public and economic governance in Egypt, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Kamali confirmed that there are strong cooperation relations between the Egyptian government and the European Union in all economic and social fields.
Kamali pointed out that the project to support public and economic governance in Egypt, which is being implemented in cooperation with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), and whose study has begun in 2018.
The concept note for this project was prepared, discussed, and some modifications were studied, in light of the changes that occurred in Egypt during the past years, especially at the economic level.
Kamali indicated that the Ministry of Planning received the OECD mission last May and held several meetings between the mission's representatives, the Ministry's Sustainable Development Unit, the Communication Unit, and the Ministry's advisors to study all the elements of the project.



Kamali reviewed the features of Egypt's Vision 2030, the system for following up on investment projects, what is happening in Egypt at the economic and social levels, and the social initiatives launched by the Egyptian government to improve infrastructure, achieve social justice and community well-being, such as the presidential initiative "Decent Life" and the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family.

Kamali highlighted Egypt's progress in the Human Development Index, as part of the World Human Development Report for the year 2021-2022, which was launched by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) two weeks ago.



 Kamali stressed that this progress is a clear reflection of the development plans implemented by the Egyptian state during the past years and a natural result of what has been achieved from national projects and presidential initiatives in all fields, especially the fields of health and education.
