Main / Media / News / The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Eslsca University Egypt receive a new batch of the Governmental MBA Program

19 February 2022

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Eslsca University Egypt announced the reception of a new batch of the Governmental MBA Program, for 164 employees representing all ministries, some affiliated agencies, and governorates.

Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the government's MBA program comes based on the ministry's orientation to cover training programs for all Egyptian ministries and governorates.
This is within the framework of expanding and generalizing the benefit and providing the cadres that meet the requirements of achieving comprehensive and balanced development that the government is working to implement in the various Egyptian sectors and regions.
El-Said emphasized that the human element is the main and effective element in all development plans and is the most valuable resource of the state.
Investment in human capital comes at the top of the state's priorities intending to achieve comprehensive sustainable development, She added.

Dr. Ali El-Meligy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Eslsca University Egypt, said that this program integrates with the comprehensive development processes that are currently taking place in all aspects of development.
His distinction comes from his interest in the leading human element of the administrative apparatus in Egypt. It not only aims to develop the knowledge and technical skills of the youth of the administrative apparatus, allowing them to assume leadership positions but also works to change their thinking pattern from the concept of “public administration” to “government business management.”.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Alaa, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry of Planning and representative of the Ministry in the project; The Governmental MBA program depends on the method of targeted selectivity, where a single batch of 150 employees are selected from candidates who reach about a thousand candidates.
The participants in the program are subject to a training and educational program for four months, then the first ninety of them are selected to complete the next four months with an increase in the educational, training, and language dose.
At the end of this period, and based on written and applied tests, the top thirty are selected to complete the study of the government's MBA program, and the rest of the students are also allowed to complete the study at their own expense, with partial funding from the university.

The two parties have been keen to design the government business management program according to international standards, and the program includes various academic, training, and specialized practical axes, in addition to the main focus for developing the English language skill.
It is noteworthy that the cooperation between the Egyptian government and the Eslsca University Egypt began in 2015, and was crowned after the issuance of the President’s decision in 2018 approving the protocol for the establishment of “Eslsca University Egypt” signed between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Higher School of Applied Commercial Sciences (ASELSKA - France).
