EGYPT'S PLANNING MINISTRY RELEASES 'CITIZEN INVESTMENT PLAN' OF Kafr El-Sheikh IN FY 2021/22

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced in a report issued by it the features of the citizen's investment plan for Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate for the year 21/2022.
This is in the context of continuing to announce the citizen’s plan in all governorates of the Republic for the third year in a row, to educate citizens about the directions and priorities of the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year (21/2022), and its role in achieving “Egypt Vision 2030.”
H.E. Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed that the launch of the 'CITIZEN INVESTMENT PLAN' reflects the state's keenness to involve citizens in the efforts made to develop the planning and follow-up systems, to achieve sustainable and comprehensive development, in a way that contributes to addressing development gaps between the different governorates, and settling development goals.
Al-Saeed stressed that the citizen is the real axis of development, and therefore the necessity of empowering him and providing him with data on development programs and projects that the state is implementing.
On the investment plan of the citizen in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate, Al-Saeed explained that the number of development projects in the governorate amounts to 328 projects and that the value of public investments directed to the Kafr El-Sheikh governorate in the plan for the year 21/2022 amounted to EGP 4.3 billion, an increase of 43% over the plan for the year 20/2021.
About the sectoral distribution of targeted public investments in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate with a plan for the year 21/2022, the report of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development indicated that investments worth EGP 978.3 million were directed to the housing sector and the development of slums, at a rate of 22.9%, followed by the transportation sector with a value of EGP 841.2 million, at a rate of 22.9%. 19.8%.
The investments of the health sector amount to EGP 828.5 million, or 19.5 percent, and belong to the local development sector, EGP 656 million or 15.4 percent, and the higher education and scientific research sector, EGP 417 million, or 9.8%, while the other sectors are invested with EGP 535 million.
The report indicated that the most important development goals in the housing sector in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate in the 21/2022 plan are to direct EGP 485.2 million to drink water and sanitation services, in addition to directing EGP 200 million to develop regions and markets.
The number of housing sector projects is 92, and the most important projects of the local development sector in the governorate, which number 165, are special projects in paving 123.5 km of separate roads, developing and raising the efficiency and completion of traffic units in the centers of Riyadh, Baltim, Qalin, Bella, Kafr El-Sheikh, In addition to the projects of raising and developing massacres, and in the higher education and scientific research sector, it is targeted to implement 9 development projects, including the completion of the finishes of the emergency hospital at Kafr El-Sheikh University, and the construction of the outpatient clinic building at Kafr El-Sheikh University Hospital.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development makes the “CITIZEN INVESTMENT PLAN'” for the years “19/2020” and “20/2021” available on its website, as part of its keenness to increase societal awareness and inform citizens of the directions of sustainable development plans adopted by the state in each governorate separately.
