Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, affirmed the state's keenness to support and encourage entrepreneurship, and to finance small projects with creative and innovative ideas, stressing that entrepreneurship works to promote economic growth, accelerate innovation, stimulate sustainable development, and create decent job opportunities. El-Said pointed out that the state, through the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, has adopted several efforts, most notably the launch of the Rowad 2030  "Pioneers of 2030" project, which aims to enable young people to establish their projects and work to devote and support the role of entrepreneurship in developing the national economy and diversifying sources of income. El-Said continued that the project contributes to providing a range of services, including educational grants and master's degrees, to study the field of entrepreneurship in a deeper and wider way, in addition to supporting and establishing business incubators for emerging companies that present new ideas in the labor market.
For her part, Dr. Ghada Khalil, Rowad 2030 Project Manager, explained that the competition allows entrepreneurs to gain the skills and experience needed to launch their start-ups.El-Said continued that these projects are being evaluated by a jury comprising many experts in Egypt and the Middle East, headed by the director of the Rowad 2030 project, where she was chosen as the head of the competition’s jury, in confirmation of the effective role that the project plays in supporting and developing the entrepreneurship environment in Egypt.

Khalil added that the competition comes within the framework of the CIPIEE project "Paths, Career Integration and Entrepreneurship in Egypt", launched by the Francophone University Agency, to develop activities in favor of professionalizing university training and student entrepreneurship.Khalil added that the total prizes for the competition amount to $ 100,000, in addition to opportunities to incubate and support startups according to their needs. The conditions also included that the participating team must not have presented its idea in any other local, regional or international competition, and each team must submit a presentation within 3 minutes before a committee of experts and arbitrators. Masters and Ph.D. holders can also apply in the competition, and most of the team members are undergraduates and students who are members of universities affiliated with the Agency for the University of La Francophonie (AUF), in addition to that the ideas presented in the competition serve one of the goals of the 17 sustainable development goals.Training, tools, and various resources will also be provided through the competition, to support entrepreneurs to start their projects while providing practical support for all stages of startup ideas.
