Planning, Immigration ministers hold a preparatory meeting in preparation for the “Egypt Can With Industry” conference

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Ambassador Nabila Makram Abdel-Shaheed, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, held a coordination meeting in the framework of preparation and preparation for the sixth edition of the (Egypt Can) Conference series under the slogan "Egypt Can With Industry".The meeting was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development; Dr. Nadi Masoud, Economic Advisor to the Minister, Dr. Mona Al-Jarf, Advisor to the Minister for Economic Affairs, and Ambassador Hazem Khairat, Head of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry. The meeting was also attended by leaders of the Ministry of Immigration, Ambassador Mohamed Khairat, Assistant Minister of Immigration for International Cooperation, and Ambassador Amr Abbas, Assistant Minister of Immigration for Communities Affairs.During the meeting, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said said that the conference represents an important opportunity to review the efforts of the Egyptian state in the field of industrial development in its various axes, as well as what the state requires from Egyptian industry experts abroad.El-Said pointed out the importance of hiring Egyptian experts from countries with pioneering experiences in various industrial fields.Dr. Hala El-Said affirmed that "Egypt Can With industry" aligns with the objectives of the structural reforms program launched by the government last April and puts the industry as the main axis in reforming the structure of the Egyptian economy. El-Said pointed out the importance of the conference to include a session on entrepreneurship that focuses on "Making a Successful Industrial Entrepreneur", discussing ways to link entrepreneurship with supply chains, as well as identifying countries' policies in industrial financing.
El-Said also explained the importance of benefiting from Egyptian experts abroad, in various fields, as well as benefiting from the experiences of linking scientific research to the development of industry, and transferring the experiences of countries similar to Egypt in the field of economic development with its most important component, which is industry.For her part, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptians Affairs Abroad, said that the "Egypt Can With Industry" conference represents a link between Egyptian industry experts abroad, and the various agencies and ministries concerned at home, by discussing some axes that come within the priorities of the Egyptian state's strategy to develop the industrial field.Makram explained that the current edition of the conference will include Egyptian scientists and experts abroad, and a group of industrialists and specialists in Egypt, to contribute to the implementation of presidential directives by supporting the state's strategy in the field of industrial localization and maximizing the benefit from the experiences of our scientists around the world.The Minister of Immigration indicated the need for the opening session of the conference to review the Egyptian state’s strategy in industrial financing, and post-pandemic changes, as well as the Ministry of Planning reviewing the state’s plan and efforts made in this regard.The Minister of Immigration added that this edition of the Egypt Can conference series will witness for the first time inviting managers of several international companies in which Egyptian experts work, to attend the "Egypt Can With Industry" events, to get acquainted closely with the Egyptian state's strategy and efforts to develop the industrial field.
