The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development signs a cooperation protocol with AASTMT to qualify assessors of Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Adel Bilal, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry represented by Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence and the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD).Dr. Hala El-Said said that the signing of today's protocol comes from the vision of the " Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence " concerning strengthening partnerships and frameworks of cooperation between the award, partners, and concerned parties from state institutions and civil society in spreading and deepening the culture of excellence in the Egyptian state.El-Said indicated that the award administration adopted the expansion of the accredited Egyptian evaluator base, and thus designed specialized qualification programs to qualify and raise their competencies and skills through strategic partners in the field of excellence following the excellence models of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence.The Minister of Planning and Economic Development emphasized that the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence aims primarily to stimulate the spirit of competition and excellence at the level of employees on the one hand and at the level of government institutions on the other hand, where the distinguished in the performance of public services are honored with moral and material honor, which consolidates the values of giving and belonging.For his part, Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, explained that there is a set of technical and specialized skills that the resident will obtain at the end of the training program following the protocol; in preparation for passing the final accreditation test by the award administration.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), confirmed that the institute, according to the protocol, will approve training certificates, as well as participate in the training of ambassadors of excellence to prepare the cadres of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence. Sherif pointed to the importance of training and developing the capabilities of employees as an integral part of the work system in various institutions; And training is one of the most important axes of work development, as it can provide workers with the necessary skills to improve performance and contribute to the preparation of human cadres capable of meeting work needs.
Sherif explained that the institute's efforts in the field of training and capacity building come within the framework of a more comprehensive approach by the Egyptian state to expand investment in people in line with achieving the goals of the sustainable development strategy (Egypt Vision 2030).The protocol was signed by Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, and Dr. Mohamed Hassan Abd Rabbo, Dean of the Institute of Productivity and Quality at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport
