Egypt’s NIGSD, Mansoura University sign a cooperation agreement in the areas of development

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) - the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development - represented by Dr. Sharifa Sherif, Executive Director of the Institute, and Mansoura University signed a cooperation agreement in the areas of development, administrative restructuring, human capacity development, scientific research, and advisory services.
Dr. Sharifa Sharif said that the cooperation agreement includes a range of areas and activities, including the preparation and implementation of a package of professional training programs for students, faculty members, and the supporting body.
The agreement also includes the implementation of several seminars and workshops on topics and specializations that are compatible with the nature of their work, and coordination to develop an action plan to restructure and automate administrative processes.
Dr. Sharifa Sharif stressed the importance of training and capacity building, which is one of the main pillars of the success of any party, through organizing a scheme aimed at providing workers with skills and capabilities related to the nature of their work, which helps in improving performance.
Sherif indicated that the institute's vision is to become the leading center of excellence in providing consultancy, research, and training in the Middle East and North Africa region.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Hafez, Vice President for Graduate Studies, Research and Cultural Relations, emphasized; the importance of training and developing the capabilities of faculty members, students, and employees, to prepare them to meet the requirements of current jobs, as well as developing their skills to meet future needs.
Hafez indicated that training contributes to preparing highly trained human cadres capable of meeting work needs.
