The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, coordinated with the Danish Embassy in Cairo to implement several training programs provided by the Danida Fellowship Center.
This is within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the institute and the embassy last March.
Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, stressed the importance of training and developing the capabilities of employees to prepare them to meet the requirements of current jobs, as well as develop their skills to meet future needs.
Sherif indicated that training contributes to preparing human cadres capable of meeting work needs.
Sherif explained that the training programs that the institute is implementing in cooperation with the Danish Embassy in Cairo come in light of Egypt's Vision 2030 and what it represents as an essential step in the comprehensive development process in Egypt and reforms in various fields.
These programs also come within the framework of cooperation with the Kingdom of Denmark, represented by the Danish Embassy in Cairo, by signing a memorandum of understanding in March 2021 to achieve leadership and creativity in building and developing human capabilities.
Sherif indicated that in light of the training plan submitted by the Danida Fellowship Center, it is expected that during the first quarter of 2022, two training programs will be implemented; They are organizational change management, and behavioral alerts and insights.
The first program aims to enable participants to learn the latest trends and tools to facilitate real change in society and with themselves, as well as make a real difference in facilitating and impacting positive changes at all levels.
The second program consists of a mixture of lectures and open discussions to convey the theories and ideas of the leading applied behavioral sciences, behavioral insights, methods, and frameworks taken from the behavioral sciences.
The year 2021 witnessed the implementation of several training programs within the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between the institute and the embassy. The training topics were entrepreneurship, innovation, value chains, public-private partnerships, and risk communication.
