Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence launches the system of internal excellence awards at the National Postal Authority

The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence announced the launch of the internal excellence awards system at the National Postal Authority of Egypt. This is to complete the implementation of the internal excellence system in the distinguished units in providing government services in the various entities.In this context, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said said that the implementation of the internal awards system in government agencies in the state’s administrative apparatus stems from the keenness of the management of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to implement the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030.For his part, Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence, stressed the importance of deepening the culture of institutional excellence in all government agencies through the application of the internal awards system for excellence.Mustafa pointed out those 1,000 automated post offices participated in the first round of the internal awards, in preparation for the announcement of the results of the best 80 mechanized offices at the level of the Republic.Mustafa added that the launch of the authority's internal awards system would work to deepen the culture of excellence within all post offices, which in turn is reflected in a better quality of life for citizens in all services and transactions provided.The management of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence had held an introductory training workshop for the internal awards work team at the Postal Authority, headed by Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Head of the Human Capital Management and Development Sector and representatives of the Postal Authority, to see the mechanisms for managing the internal awards and the tasks of the work team.During the workshop, it was emphasized that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence will support the authority and follow up its internal excellence journey in all technical stages, in the context of emphasizing the deepening of this culture, as well as contributing to achieving transparency, governance, and integrity of the award stage.The tasks and responsibilities of the work team and the general plan for managing the internal awards were also reviewed, starting with the announcement of the awards and training of ambassadors of excellence, during January, then opening the door for candidacy for a month, which is followed by evaluation processes, leading to arbitration, approving the results and honoring the winners.It is noteworthy that the number of post offices that participated in the Egypt Award for Government Excellence in its second session reached 610 automated post offices, while 226 post offices participated in the first session in 2019.
