The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development signs a protocol to equip mobile technology service vehicles

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development signed a cooperation protocol with the Traffic and Civil Protection Sector of the Ministry of Interior on the management and operation of mobile technology service vehicles to be used as mobile traffic units.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development said that the protocol comes within the framework of the Ministry of Planning's keenness to develop and improve services provided to citizens and to implement the state's strategy in this regard.
El-Said added that the signing also came out of a belief in the importance of information technology and its role in achieving sustainable development, and accelerating the transformation of the government sector, which is a cornerstone for the development of individuals' lives and the development of the economy, into an entity based on science, knowledge, and technology.
El-Said pointed out that the protocol aims to set up a mechanism for managing and operating model mobile technology centers to be used as mobile traffic units, including issuing management licenses and technical examinations for vehicles of all kinds.
On his part, M. Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Information Infrastructure and Digital Transformation stated that, according to the signed protocol, the ministry will be committed to providing about 40 or more modern cars that operate as model mobile traffic units nationwide.
Abdul Hafeez added that this comes to support fixed traffic units or to push them to places of mass gatherings or to move to provide services to citizens and various agencies.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development had equipped mobile cars for the Ministry of Local Development to function as technology centers in the governorates.
