Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence announces Assiut University the first one to launch “Internal Excellence Awards”

The Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence announced the implementation of the internal awards system for the various units of the state’s administrative apparatus, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister announced at the closing ceremony of the second session of the award, where Assiut University became the first university to launch its internal award. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the implementation of the internal awards system in government agencies in the state’s administrative apparatus stems from the keenness of the management of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence to implement the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and to support the state’s efforts to spread the culture of excellence and institutional development in the various sectors of the state.For his part, Eng. Khaled Mustafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, indicated that Assiut University is headed by Dr. Tariq El-Gamal.Assiut University is the first to launch the internal excellence awards "Assiut University Award for Quality and Excellence".
These awards aim to exchange experiences among members of the administrative body, raise the spirit of competition and build a good institutional model that applies the concepts of governance and sustainable development.Dr. Dalia Sami, Assistant Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, expressed that the Council seeks to provide full support for the dissemination and application of the system of excellence within public universities, which contributes to deepening the culture of institutional excellence in the higher education sector.It is noteworthy that the management of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence provides technical support to launch these internal awards in universities, led by Dr. Abdel Hakim Radwan, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam from the award evaluation team.
These awards include implementing training courses for the award’s internal management team, explaining the basic principles of evaluation processes, and managing award events, to ensure that the award management builds assessment cadres in universities.
