The Minister of Planning and Economic Development meets with the Governor of Suez to study the settlement of SDGs

Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with Major General Abdel Majid Saqr, Governor of Suez, to discuss the requirements of the governorate and the challenges facing the development process.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Jamil Helmy, Assistant Minister for Follow-up Affairs of the Sustainable Development Plan, Professor Mohamed Farid, Assistant Minister for National Projects, Dr. Heba Mughaib, Head of the Regional Planning Sector, Dr. Abdullah Ramadan, Deputy Governor of Suez.El-Said said: "Suez Governorate is the valiant city that we are proud of and happy with the development boom that is taking place in It.", where the investments are distributed according to that financing formulaEl-Said confirmed the ministry's keenness to provide the necessary support to the governorate, explaining that a boost will be given to the governorate in the next plan.Concerning integrated development, El-Said confirmed that it will be studied for the Suez Governorate based on the challenges presented during the meeting with coordination to include them in the next year's plan with the need to identify sub-projects in the integrated works, stressing the importance of implementing projects in a better and faster manner.She directed to coordinate the change of programs with certain governorates in the next fiscal year’s plan to serve the governorate’s needs and follow the law, by giving a funding ceiling with some goals the governorate is working to implement following this financing framework.
El-Said clarified the need for the governors to determine the priorities of the governorates that the citizen feels, within the framework of the General Planning Law after the approval of the House of Representatives next week.This is intended to improve the lives of citizens and settle the sustainable development goals, according to the indicators of the sustainable development goals localization reports that were announced weeks ago.
