The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development issued recently a report on the achievements of digital transformation projects until September 2021
In this context, El-Said stressed the need to expand digital transformation projects and develop services provided to citizens to achieve the highest levels of citizen satisfaction during the coming period.She added that it is necessary to expand the establishment of mobile technology centers with partner ministries, in a way that saves citizens time and effort and provides them with fast service at a suitable cost.The report of the Ministry of Planning referred to the project to develop technology centers in neighborhoods and cities, explaining that the total number of developed technology centers until September 2021 amounted to 282 developed centers out of a total of 337 centers that provide 222 services at the level of the offices of all governorates and centers in cities and neighborhoods. The development of the Smart Diwan in Alexandria Governorate has also been completed, in addition to the application of tablets as field units for collection for campaigns in the Suez Governorate in preparation for generalization at the level of Egypt.
The report highlighted the execution of workshops, presenting applications, and intensive training courses for local leaders, in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development and the governorates at the Local Development Center for Training in Saqqara.
It also highlighted the development and mechanization of reconciliation procedures for building violations following the regulation of Law No. 17 of 2019 and the printing of all forms following the regulation. This is in addition to the continuing development and mechanization of new building requirements with the completion of field training on new building requirements in 14 governorates with 64 sites, and linking building permit services with spatial variables through the National Center for Spatial Information Infrastructure “NSDI”, in addition to entering the accumulated quantitative data on the system for several (20) site.Concerning the project to develop technology centers in the new cities, the report indicated that the total number of developed centers in the new cities amounted to 21 out of a total number of 43 centers that provide 144 services, in addition to the continuation of the system’s work in full efficiency to organize all work and activities.About the mobile technology centers project, 63 mobile technology centers were provided, including 32 mobile technology centers (Ministry of Local Development and the governorates), 20 mobile documentation branches (Ministry of Justice: Real Estate Registration and Documentation Authority), 10 mobile civil status branches (Ministry of Interior: Status Sector) Civil) in addition to one (1) mobile center for the Technical Secretariat for Governance of State Assets.A workshop was also held to present the operating controls and technical preparations for the mobile technology centers concerned with local services in cooperation with the Ministry of Local Development, in the presence of the Deputy Governors and the Assistant Minister of Local Development, in addition to contracting (120) mobile technology centers during the fiscal year 2021/2022, including 30 centers Mobile technology (Ministry of Local Development and the governorates), 30 mobile documentation branches (Ministry of Justice: Real Estate Registration and Documentation Authority), 30 mobile civil status branches (Ministry of Interior: Civil Status Sector), 30 mobile traffic branches (Ministry of Interior: Traffic Department).Regarding health projects, the report referred to the birth and death registration system, where the total number of developed health offices reached 4666, and workshops were held in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO), in addition to issuing notifications of births and deaths in hospitals in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization))WHO).The report added that the data on births and deaths continued to be made available to the beneficiary government agencies that provide in-kind and cash support (the National Organization for Social Insurance - the Ministry of Social Solidarity - the Egyptian Postal Authority - the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade).
