The Minister of Planning and Economic Development participates in the annual awards ceremony of the Kemet Boutros Ghali Foundation

Egypt’s Minister of Planning & Economic Development, Dr. Hala El-Said participated recently in the annual awards ceremony of the Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge, in the presence of several ministers, Ms. Lea Boutros-Ghali, Honorary President of the Foundation, and Mr. Mamdouh Abbas, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.During her speech, El-Said said that the Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge has become an international platform to spread the message of the venerable scientist, Dr. Boutros-Ghali, on peace, knowledge, and preventive diplomacy to avoid conflicts and wars through dialogue and negotiations.El-Said pointed out that Dr. Boutros-Ghali's position remains distinct in the hearts of Egyptians, Arabs, and the world with his actions and contributions, as he has acquired the true meaning of a global citizen to transcend the borders of our African continent.EL-Said explained that today's meeting comes as a consolidation of all the tolerant human values established by Dr. Boutros Ghali during his decades-long journey of giving.El-Said explained that today’s celebration comes in honor of the efforts of two of the most prominent fighters of the Egyptian and African nations, who contributed to making the history of the nation and made outstanding contributions to their countries, the first is Dr. / George Abi Saab, one of the most important professors of international law and contemporary international relations in the world.The second is Dr. Salem Ahmed Salem, African leader, seasoned Tanzanian diplomat, an expert on international law, and former Secretary-General of the Organization of African Unity, to whom the Foundation awarded him the Achievement Award in the field of conflict resolution, democracy, and human rights.
El-Said referred to the efforts made by the Foundation to honor the first graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, from which Dr. Ghali embarked on his professional world, as the Foundation presents an award for university excellence, in addition to awards for scientific excellence in the fields of international law and international regulation.The Minister of Planning and Economic Development continued that these endeavors are consistent with the orientation of the Egyptian state to invest in people.After her speech, Dr. Hala El-Said affirmed the similarity of the Kemet Foundation's vision and goals with the efforts of the Egyptian state to enhance knowledge, advance the human element, and stimulate innovation.
