Egypt’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development organizes a side event entitled “Public-Private Partnerships to Improve Climate Finance in MENA”

Egypt’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and the Commercial International Bank (CIB), organized on Wednesday a side event entitled “Public-Private Partnerships to Improve Climate Finance in Africa and the Middle East.
The event witnessed the participation of Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala El-Said, and H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment.The session took place within the activities of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change (COP-26), held in Glasgow, United Kingdom.The session’s activities will continue until November 12.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Dalia Abdel Qader, Head of Sustainable Finance at CIB.The session will be attended by Dr. Amani Abou Zeid, African Union Commissioner for Infrastructure and Energy and Board Member of CIB, Walid Ali, Head of Sustainability at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), Ambassador Siani Nafo, Adaptation Initiative Coordinator, and Jay Collins, Vice Chairman of the Board- Investment Banking Citi Group, Stephen Moss, Regional CEO for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, HSBC, Stephen Alan Hammer, Climate Policy Advisor at the World Bank's Climate Change Group, and Engineer Sarah El-Batouty, President of ECOnsult.
