The ceremony of announcing the Egypt Awards for Government Excellence was held on Tuesday under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic.Dr. Hala El-Said , Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that this ceremony confirms the continuation of the Egyptian state's march towards excellence, and its keenness to spread a culture of creativity and excellence in state institutions. El-Said explained that despite the great challenges faced by various countries of the world as a result of the repercussions of the "Covid 19" virus, there was a great determination to continue working and not stop the journey towards excellence. El-Said  added that work and scrutiny continued to reward those who worked hard and excelled in their institutions, despite these difficult circumstances.El-Saidd noted that today's celebration confirms the presence of energies, capabilities, and determination to achieve success, adding that the ceremony will contribute to motivating many state institutions to enter this race towards excellence and creativity.El-Said added that the Egypt Award for Government Excellence was launched in 2018 under the patronage of the President of the Republic and in cooperation with the sisterly United Arab Emirates.El-Said added that the cooperation between Egypt and the UAE regarding the Government Excellence Award adds to the balance of the growing relations between the two countries in various fields, which enjoy the interest and support of the political leadership in the two countries, stressing that the cooperation between the two countries is a model for Arab cooperation relations.

El-Said clarified that the Egypt Government Excellence Award aims to stimulate the spirit of competition and excellence, whether at the level of workers or the level of government institutions, following up on that distinguished people in the performance of public services are honored morally and materially, which consolidates the values of giving and belonging, and motivates everyone to raise performance levels. El-Said added that this would contribute to achieving the goals of the Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt's Vision 2030, especially the goal of "Governance of State Institutions and Strengthening Partnerships".
El-Said pointed out that the goal of "Governance of State Institutions and Strengthening Partnerships" is linked to the UN sustainable development goals, especially the sixteenth goals, which are "achieving peace, justice, and strong institutions", and the seventeenth goal, which is concerned with "contracting partnerships."El-Said stressed that there is no development without strong institutions supported by a partnership that includes the private sector and civil society alongside the government.
