The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) announces opening of registration for the second time in the program ''Governance and Sustainable Development and their Impact on Organizational Goals and Performance''.

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the executive training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced registration is open for the second time for the training program entitled ''Governance and Sustainable Development and their Impact on Organizational Goals and Performance''. in cooperation with Hanns Seidel Foundation following the success of the first batch of the program, which was held by the Institute in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development through virtual education technology on the African continent for a period of five consecutive days.
Dr. Hala EL-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chairwoman of NIGSD Board of Trustees, stressed that The follow-up to the launch of the training program in its second batch stems from the keenness of the Ministry and the Institute to support capacity-building internally and regionally in the light of Egypt's important role in the implementation of African Agenda 2063, as well as the keenness of the Egyptian government to contribute effectively to the development efforts in the African continent, as a priority since Egypt was president of the African Union in 2019, and in support of the Egyptian efforts to invest in the human element and build African cadres as a basis for the progress and renaissance of the continent. For her part, Dr. Sharifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, explained that the program aims to introduce the concept of sustainable development and its objectives, and the African Sustainable Development Agenda 2063, by identifying the concept of strategic planning and management with objectives, and the relationship of sustainable development to achieving corporates goals.Also, introducing the concept of governance, its objectives and principles, and its role in improving performance within government agencies and institutions through implementation of governance principles and mechanisms, many of which have been used in performance improvement procedures.Sherif added that the program will be held from October 26 to 30, 2021 and provides training in both English and Arabic and targets government employees of both genders in the age group between 25-45 years - who work in various management positions in local units whose direct duties are linked to the design and implementing of sustainable development projects at the local level in various sectors.
