A delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, headed by Eng. Khaled Mostafa, the permanent representative of the Ministry and General Supervisor of the Egypt Award for Governmental Excellence, met; Brigadier/ Khaled Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Supply and Internal Trade for the Planning, Development, Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector to discuss the reports and recommendations that were monitored during the evaluation phase of 2nd  cycle of Egypt Government Excellence Award.
This came as part of ongoing series of visits carried out by the management of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to some government agencies participating in the current session of the award.


Eng. Khaled Mustafa explained that the visit comes within the framework of the state's efforts to spread a culture of excellence and institutional development and honor outstanding performance in all sectors while providing support to government agencies during their journey towards government excellence to improve the quality of life of citizens and enhance the leadership and competitiveness of the Egyptian state in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.



Eng. Khaled Mustafa also discussed, during the visit, a set of proposals, including offering internal prizes to raise the spirit of competition among supply offices to provide better services to citizens, which was highly appreciated by the Assistant Minister of Supply, as the idea has already been implemented before with a study of its implementation in line with the award criteria as well as in exploring the possibility of providing innovative means to provide catering services to citizens.For his part, Brigadier Khaled Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, praised the training programs provided by the award administration to the categories participating in the current session, stressing the importance of seeking to benefit from the award’s expertise in providing more training programs and workshops in topics specialized in quality standards in providing services, as well as spreading the culture of excellence and creativity.


Sharaf added that this comes as a continuation of the implementation of the training initiative proposed by the Ministry of Supply to develop human cadres in the directorates and offices of supply, which aims to raise the level of service provision to the citizen, and distinguish in providing service to the citizen and continuous development in the level of quality of service provided to the citizen in line with the Ministry's action plan to improve the level of performance from through the governance of the government work system and the development of the infrastructure for catering offices.During the visit, Dr. Muhammad Mohammadi, Director of Evaluation for the Award, reviewed the report that was prepared during the evaluation phase, including the most prominent strengths represented in the awareness of the leadership team in the catering offices of the importance of excellence and their keenness to educate customers about the services provided, and the availability of a charter for customers.The establishment of an electronic database for customers, recommendations, and opportunities for improvement was also reviewed.Mohammadi clarified the pillars and criteria of the government excellence system, including the seven-star services standard, which focuses on the extent to which the government entity designs, manages, and develops services and related processes in an innovative way to satisfy customers.Ms. Soha Saeed, Executive Director of the Award also reviewed the training courses and workshops that were presented at the level of all categories, in addition to the training programs offered on electronic communication platforms.
