Planning Ministry's delegation heads to Tanta University to follow up on the executive position of ongoing projects

A delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development headed by Mr. Ismail Youssef, supervisor of the human and social development sector in the ministry headed recently to Tanta University to discuss the executive position of the new projects and hospitals included in the university’s plan for the year 2021/2022.
During the visit, the delegation of the Ministry met with Dr. Mahmoud Zaki, President of the University, Dr. Imad Atman, Vice President of Tanta University for Community Service Affairs, in addition to the university's planning team.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, stressed that education is the main entry point for human resource development and the development of societies to keep pace with the requirements of the transition to a knowledge economy and to enhance international competitiveness in various aspects of life.
The projects pursued by the delegation of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development included the establishment of the new surgery hospital in the medical complex in Tanta at EGP 1.1 billion and the establishment of a hospital for kidney diseases and surgery in the medical complex in Tanta for EGP 50 million.
Also, (4) buildings were established in the university city of the college complex in Saberbay in Tanta for EGP300 million, and the building of a civil and preparatory building for the Faculty of Engineering in the college complex in Saberbay in Tanta was completed at EGP 154 million.
Moreover, the plan includes a project to complete the terrace building at the Faculty of Education for EGP 62.5 million, in addition to the future needs of Tanta University concerning investment projects as well as the surgery hospital, which has been completed and is being prepared for its opening this year with a capacity of 700 beds and 20 operating rooms.
