Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence registers for ISO9001:2015 certification

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development announced the contract of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence with the Lloyd’s Register Foundation to launch the final steps for obtaining the ISO 9001 certificate for accrediting the quality management system with the award.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the adoption of the quality policy for the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence comes as an embodiment of the directives of the state’s political leadership to achieve the goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
El-Said stressed that the ministry seeks to implement the best standards of institutional work in managing the award and a commitment to achieving all the requirements of the concerned parties and international requirements.
For his part, Eng. Khaled Mostafa, Permanent Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and supervisor of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, indicated that Lloyd's was chosen as one of the oldest British institutions specialized in granting conformity certificates worldwide.
Mostafa explained that the internal audit team was formed, which includes a representative from each department, to complete the work plan of the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence to complete the stages of implementing the quality management system.
Mostafa pointed out that the responsibility of the team members has been determined with the provision of an internal training program through the evaluation and quality officials of the award.
Dr. Muhammad Mohammadi, Director of Evaluation for the Award, indicated that the training of the internal audit team aims to contribute to raising performance and increasing the team’s awareness to complete the internal audit stage.
