Ministry of Planning approves the “Quality Policy” document for Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has approved the "Quality Policy" document for the Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence, which is among the requirements of international standards for quality management systems.
Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the quality policy came to support the strategic directions of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence and to include a framework to ensure the achievement of quality objectives, and commitment to achieving all the requirements of the concerned parties and international requirement.
For his part, Khaled Mostafa, Supervisor of the Award, indicated that the adoption of the award’s quality policy comes as an embodiment of the directives of the state’s political leadership to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The adoption of the award’s quality policy stems from the vision of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence to build an efficient and effective administrative apparatus that includes distinguished and superior government institutions and bodies in all aspects of performance to improve the quality of life for the Egyptian citizen.
It is noteworthy that the second cycle of Egypt Award for Gov't Excellence included 19 categories, for which more than 2,000 applications were submitted, while 4 new categories were created, including the best government employee, best work team, best health office, and best catering office.
The second cycle also witnessed a 100% electronic transformation of all applications and evaluation processes.
