Egypt's Minister of Planning chairs the family development strategy committee

The Ministerial Committee of the National Project for Family Development held a coordination meeting headed by Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and in the presence of Mrs. Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity.
The meeting dealt with the executive steps of the project’s pillars, which aim to develop the Egyptian family and improve the characteristics of the population, foremost of which is the pillar of women’s empowerment.
Moreover, the meeting dealt with the perceptions of the projects that will be presented and mechanisms for empowering women, especially in the countryside, as well as the most important ideas proposed for training programs and entities based on them were discussed.
The meeting also discussed the pillar of awareness and the most important means that will be used to raise the family's awareness of demographic, health, and educational issues and the need for coordination with media and religious institutions.
The attendees discussed the timetables for the project and proposals for the launch date in the last quarter of this year, in preparation for presenting all the results of the meeting to the Prime Minister in the coming days.
