Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, held recently a meeting with Eng. Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, and the Ministry's Digital Transformation Projects team, to review the implementation rates and plans for digital transformation and information infrastructure projects.
During the meeting, Mr. Ashraf Abdel Hafeez reviewed the most important project implemented in the ministry, especially the government services development projects, including the development of technology centers in localities, neighborhoods, and new cities.               Abdel Hafeez also referred to the mobile technology centers project, where 62 mobile technology centers were equipped, 32 of which work in the Ministry of Local Development and the governorates, 20 centers in the Real Estate Registration Authority, and 10 centers in the Civil Status of the Ministry of Interior.
The meeting witnessed a review of the development of the birth and death registration system, during which 4,666 health offices were developed that record births and deaths data in real-time, and issue all indicators related to the health of newborns and mortality indicators, as well as making these data available to the concerned government agencies that provide in-kind and cash support.


The meeting also touched on the information structure of the vaccination systems, where 1,545 offices were developed, and 1,100 offices were targeted this year, benefiting about 2.7 million children annually, and providing about 21.6 million vaccinations.



Abdel Hafeez reviewed the project for the integration of the information infrastructure of the Egyptian planning system, which included the establishment of a spatial data center and the center of a spatial variable in the ministry, and the production of base maps for the governorates of Greater Cairo, the Delta, and the Suez Canal axis.


The project for integrating the information infrastructure of the Egyptian planning system aims to create a geographic portal for the information infrastructure and provide data for nearly 50 government agencies. In addition to developing applications and platforms for the Ministry of Planning, including the Share 2030 application and the application of the values ​​of your services.                                                         For her part, Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development stressed the need to expand digital transformation projects and develop services provided to citizens to achieve the highest levels of citizen satisfaction.She further asserted the necessity of increasing the establishment of mobile technology centers with partner ministries, which would save the citizen time and effort and provide him with fast service at a suitable cost.


El-Said also directed to expand the use of the capabilities of the spatial data center in the ministry to serve the projects of the presidential initiative, (A Decent Life), so that the process of planning, implementation, and follow-up would be carried out with the highest degree of mechanization and through adequate reports.
