The human element is the most valuable resource owned by the Egyptian state: Says Dr. Hala El-Said


Egypt’s Ministry of Planning and Economic Development launched on Thursday the activities of the first session of the summer training program for university students 2021, as part of the celebration of the World Youth Skills Day.


The course was launched in the presence of Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister, Eng. Khaled Mustafa, permanent agent of the ministry, Dr. Jamil Helmy, Assistant Minister for Sustainable Development Goals Follow-up, Dr. Heba Mugheeb, Head of the Regional Planning Sector, Mr. Tarek Abdel Khaleq, Head of Human Resources Sector, and Mr. Tariq Sadiq, Project Manager of the Administrative Capital.




During her speech, El-Said emphasized that the human element is the main and effective element in all development plans and is the most valuable resource owned by the state, therefore, the Ministry is keen on the participation of young people, qualifying and training them for leadership, as well as encouraging their spirit of innovation and creativity.

El-Said referred to the participation of a large group of male and female students from different universities such as Cairo University, Sadat Academy, AUC, GUC, and BUE in the summer training offered by the ministry this year.

El-Said reviewed in front of the students participating in the training the tasks and functions of the Ministry of Planning and its affiliates.El-Said explained that the Ministry of Planning is responsible for setting the plan and the vision of the Egyptian state, pointing to the importance of Egypt's Vision 2030 as it is the future vision of the state.


“It is important for students to familiarize themselves with Egypt's Vision 2030and know all its details,” El-Said explained.El-Said highlighted the tasks of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).


CAPMAS provides statistical surveys and data to strengthen the state's efforts to obtain databases at the national level.El-Said stressed that CAPMAS has a great local, international and regional reputation and helps many Arab countries in conducting statistical surveys, especially since CAPMAS is one of the oldest statistical agencies in the region.


During her speech, El-Said referred to the “Rowad 2030” project and its role in training youth on entrepreneurship, and its initiatives such as the “One Million Entrepreneurs” campaign, which aims to train one million young people on entrepreneurship before 2030.


Moreover, El-Said explained the role of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), the training arm of the ministry, in preparing and implementing training programs to introduce Egypt's Vision 2030 and governance.


El-Said noted the Egypt Government Excellence Award and its importance in motivating state workers to excel, as well as the tasks of the demographic center and its role in following up the population map.



El-Said stressed that all departments in the ministry are fully prepared to direct all aspects of support to the students.She added that it is important to inform the trainees of the follow-up and performance system, the investment plan system, the spatial variables system, and The Decent Life presidential initiative.
