H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation, headed to Davos, Switzerland to participate in the 2025 World Economic Forum Annual Meetings, themed "Collaboration for the Intelligent Age."

 

The forum will take place from January 20 to 24, with broad participation from heads of state and government, decision-makers, and representatives of international organizations. The Egyptian delegation will be led by H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, on behalf of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

 

H.E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat’s agenda includes a variety of events and bilateral meetings. In addition to opening opportunities for collaboration with the World Economic Forum to strengthen the future of economic growth in Egypt, H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat will also highlight the government’s efforts over the past months to enhance macroeconomic stability and advance economic and structural reforms.

 

The Minister's schedule includes participation in the "Future of Growth Champions" meeting, as well as a roundtable titled "What Does the Future Hold for the Climate Movement?"

 

H.E. Minister Al-Mashat will also participate in a meeting of the "Mobilizing Investment for Clean Energy in Emerging Economies (MICEE)" as a co-chair, along with Samaila Zubairu, CEO of the African Finance Corporation (AFC). Furthermore, she will take part in a session on gender equality and energy transition.

 

Additionally, H.E. Dr. Al-Mashat will participate in the high-level general session titled "How to Ease the Debt Burden?" as well as the session of the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) titled "Delivering Stability and Security in the Middle East – Annual Meeting 2025." She will also join the Advisory Board Meeting of the New Economy and Society Center.

 

This year’s World Economic Forum will address key challenges such as navigating geopolitical challenges, boosting economic growth to improve living standards, and advancing a just and inclusive energy transition in line with modern technological developments.
