The joint committee of the project of the national initiative to qualify and prepare future government leaders for leadership positions in the ministries - which oversees the implementation of the program for qualifying young leaders in the state administrative apparatus - has prepared a report on what has been achieved in the program during the last period.

Dr. Muhammad Alaa, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Office at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and representative of the ministry in the project stated that so far 1,050 trainees have joined the program, and in the coming months, about 450 trainees will be received from various government institutions, as the program that is implemented in cooperation with Eslsca University.


The program aims to train 1,500 young leaders working in the government sector.


Alaa added that so far seven batches of the program have graduated, noting that the eighth and ninth batches will be graduated during the coming period.

He explained that will be made with the University of Eslsca and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to arrange the graduation ceremony for the new batches according to the precautionary measures in place.


For her part, Dr. Nadia Al-Aref, President of Eslsca University, said that the program to qualify and raise the capabilities and competencies of young workers in the government apparatus in the country was granted with a grant from Eslsca University of EGP 70 million to qualify and train 1,500 government employees. Al Aref praised the cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in this pioneering initiative that aims to prepare distinguished cadres of government employees who can deal with the developments of the times and qualify them to occupy leadership positions in ministries and localities.

Al Aref stressed that this program is clear evidence of the importance and feasibility of investing in human capital. It also focused on the fact that developing the capabilities and skills of workers in all institutions is one of the main pillars for building the New Republic and achieving sustainable development goals.
