Egypt's Government Excellence Award Begins Desk Evaluation Phase for Fourth Cycle Applications in 2024
09 July 2024
The administration of Egypt's Government Excellence Award has announced the start of the desk evaluation phase for applications submitted for its fourth cycle in 2024. This phase involves a total of 2,844 applications across 19 institutional and individual categories, with the participation of 134 evaluators, team leaders, and independent quality committee heads from non-governmental entities.
Ambassador Hesham Badr, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development, International Cooperation, and Supervisor of the Government Excellence Award, emphasized that the integrity and governance of the evaluation processes are the cornerstone of the award’s operations. This necessitated the selection of evaluators with exceptional skills and expertise through a series of procedures that included developing a scientific methodology for the training and development of evaluators using internationally recognized assessment tools and collaborating with a specialized consulting firm in this field.
The team of evaluators for the fourth cycle of the award includes representatives from Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. The evaluation process will continue for 60 days, followed by field visits to the shortlisted top 5 or 10 entities and individuals in August 2024. The final results will be presented to the judging panel, which includes independent members from the UAE, in September.
