Deputy Minister of Planning Discusses Future Cooperation with Nissan at Egypt-EU Investment Conference

Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with Nissan Africa Regional Director during his participation in the Egypt-European Union Investment Conference. The meeting, held in Cairo, aimed to explore avenues for strengthening future collaboration between Egypt and Nissan, with the presence of Nissan Egypt officials.
The Egypt-European Union Investment Conference, themed "Unleashing Egyptian Potential in a Rapidly Changing World," took place over June 29-30 under the patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and with the participation of Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, and Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt. High-level government officials from Egypt and the European Union, development partners, as well as leaders and officials from prominent Egyptian, European, and global companies, and representatives of business organizations, attended the event.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Kamali underscored Egypt's significant market size, which attracts global companies seeking to invest in order to serve this dynamic market. He highlighted Egypt's robust export capabilities, which foreign companies can leverage to access markets in the Middle East and Africa. Dr. Kamali commended Nissan for its exemplary operations in Egypt.
The discussion also focused on Nissan's expansion in Egypt. With a presence in the country for the past 20 years, Nissan initiated exports two years ago, achieving a total export volume of 20,000 units during this period. Nissan expressed its commitment to increasing investments in Egypt, reflecting its confidence in the country's economic potential and favorable business environment.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to further deepen collaboration between Egypt and Nissan, leveraging the strengths of both parties to contribute to economic growth and development.
