Planning Ministry participates in a workshop on the development of local resources for the governorates of Qena and Sohag

The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development represented by Dr. Heba Mugheeb, Head of the Regional Planning Sector in the Ministry, participated in a workshop for the development and development of local resources for the governorates of Qena and Sohag, which was organized by the Local Development Program in Upper Egypt for two days in Qena Governorate, in the presence of the World Bank officials.
The workshop aimed to organize and managing parking lots, parking lots, advertisements, and marketing as important sources of local financial revenue.
The methodology of work in the Local Development Program for Upper Egypt is based on focusing on pumping investments with institutional development, developing local capacities, and developing work systems, so that governorates can manage local development efficiently and effectively within a framework of decentralization.
The program aims to create a repeatable development model in Upper Egypt governorates that depends on developing the local economy is based on supporting the comparative and competitive advantage of the governorate in light of financial and administrative decentralization that allows the governorate to fully manage the development process.
On the sidelines of the workshop, Dr. Heba Mogheeb met with; Major General/ Ashraf Daoudi, Governor of Qena; The meeting dealt with discussing the governorate’s development plan, mechanisms for developing local financial resources, as well as following up on the executive position of the local development program in Upper Egypt in the governorate.
