Egypt Hosts Thunderbird School’s Center of Excellence at NIGSD

H.E.Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), announced that the institute, the ministry’s training arm, will host the Center of Excellence affiliated with Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, USA, at the institute’s headquarters in Cairo. The two sides have agreed to extend the activities of the "100 Million Learners Global Initiative," adopted by Thunderbird, to Egypt, under the auspices of the President of the Republic.

Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, stated that hosting Thunderbird's Center of Excellence is part of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties in 2022. She noted that Thunderbird is the world’s premier leadership and management school, serving as a global network of leaders, managers, and business professionals.

Sherif highlighted that NIGSD and Thunderbird are strategic partners in governance and management programs in Egypt. She explained that the partnership will involve collaboration in the development and delivery of various training programs.
