Planning Ministry Unveils Ambitious Youth and Sports Sector Goals for Egypt's 2024/2025 Development Plan

During the deliberation of the Economic and Social Development Plan for the fiscal year 2024/2025 at the Senate's Committee on Financial, Economic, and Investment Affairs meeting:
H.E.Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, took the floor to articulate the strategic targets set for the youth and sports sector within the framework of Egypt's forthcoming 2024/2025 fiscal plan. The session, presided over by Dr.Hani Ser El-Din, convened with the esteemed presence of Dr. Ahmed Kamali, Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and distinguished council members.
In her comprehensive address, Dr. Hala El Said elucidated the comprehensive vision to bolster youth and sports services across the nation. The blueprint encompasses a multifaceted approach, including substantial investments in infrastructure and sports facilities. Notable objectives comprise the establishment of approximately 157 state-of-the-art youth and sports centers, alongside the ambitious expansion plans encompassing 7 purpose-built youth cities, 8 specialized youth camps, 3 centers for civil education, and 2 youth development hubs strategically located in Qalyubia and Kafr El Sheikh. Complementing these initiatives, the ministry aims to revitalize 3 youth hostels, facilitating enhanced accessibility and engagement. Moreover, the roadmap includes extensive enhancements to sports infrastructure, envisaging the development of 10 modern sports stadiums, the rejuvenation of 53 sports clubs, and the establishment of inclusive sports cities, open-air stadiums, and specialized clubs catering to individuals with disabilities, totaling 8 dedicated facilities.
