06 May 2024
In compliance with Law No. 187 of 2023 and its executive regulations regarding reconciliation in building violations, the government will launch an electronic system for reconciliation on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. This initiative, a collaboration between the Ministries of Planning, Economic Development, Housing, and Local Development, aims to enhance citizen services and improve government service quality.
H.E.Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, explained that the electronic system will facilitate digital access to reconciliation services for building violations. Citizens can utilize the national electronic system at technological centers across the country or the electronic portal of localities at http://Lgs.gov.eg, or download the mobile application from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ndm.reconciliation. El Said emphasized the Ministry's support for governorates with devices and tablets for technological centers, providing technical assistance and training for local government leaders and relevant authorities to expedite the reconciliation process.
El Said highlighted the electronic system's role in monitoring citizen requests and facilitating intervention by executive authorities. She stressed the importance of cooperation among entities responsible for implementing the reconciliation law to simplify procedures and achieve common goals efficiently.
El Said mentioned the completion of a citizen guide, explaining the electronic application process for reconciliation in building violations.
Mr. Ashraf Abdel Hafeez, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Digital Transformation and Information Infrastructure, noted the development of technological centers across governorates and the integration of participating entities in the electronic system.
Through the electronic system, citizens can submit reconciliation requests for building violations and upload required documents. Requests are directly transferred to technological centers for examination, with the Ministry's support in enhancing efficiency. Procedures include examining violations, obtaining necessary approvals, and finalizing reconciliation electronically.
