South Valley University Hosts Egypt Government Excellence Award Jury Meeting

The Egypt Government Excellence Award held a meeting for the internal excellence awards jury committee at South Valley University - via video conference - to follow up on the final arbitration process for the internal awards at the university in its second edition. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Akawi, President of South Valley University, Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basit, the Academic President of the University of Hertfordshire in Britain, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of Educational Institution Awards at the Egypt Government Excellence Award.
In this context, Ambassador Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister of Planning for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence, Initiatives, and General Supervisor of the Egypt Government Excellence Award, emphasized that the goal of the internal awards system is to develop human capacities and make a qualitative leap in institutional performance, preparing entities to participate in the national award “Egypt Government Excellence Award.”
During the meeting, it was affirmed that the award works to promote a culture of positive, effective, and constructive competition and to instill the principles and values of excellence in all sectors of the state. The objectives of the award include achieving better satisfaction rates for citizens and employees, while changing the philosophy of government work and spreading a culture of quality and excellence within the state administrative apparatus.
It is worth noting that 17 faculties in the “Governmental Colleges” category have applied, with 5 colleges qualifying for the field visits stage, as a prelude to escalating the top three to compete in the Egypt Government Excellence Award in its fourth edition in 2024.
