27 March 2024

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, recently conducted the sixth introductory meeting for the "Salah, Omnia, and Development Goals" initiative. Targeting 55 students from Bilal Basic Education School and Saad Zaghloul School in Sharabia, the session aimed to enhance awareness among students regarding sustainable development goals.

Dr. Sherifa Sharif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, highlighted the importance of the "Salah, Omnia, and Development Goals" initiative in disseminating knowledge of UN objectives at both local and regional levels. This effort aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 and Africa's Agenda 2063.

Dr. Hanan Rizk, Director of the African Development Center at the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, emphasized the inclusivity of the initiative, ensuring that all children benefit from the workshops and activities provided.

The sixth introductory meeting featured three interactive sessions throughout the school day, including engaging drawing and coloring activities. Participating students were also presented with stories outlining the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
