Planning Ministry holds the 2nd training sessions for the Integrated Planning and Reporting Tool

Egypt's Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, represented by the Sustainable Development Unit, held on Monday the second training session on the integrated planning and reporting tool, in cooperation with the United Nations Commission on African Affairs, where five electronic sessions will be held this month.
Dr. Hala Al-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, said that the training held by the ministry confirms Egypt's adoption of the integrated planning and reporting tool based on the integration between Egypt's Vision 2030, the UN agenda as well as Africa's Agenda 2063.
El-Said stressed the state's interest in the process of monitoring, follow-up, and evaluation of Egypt's performance in the indicators of each of them.
El-Said added that the training also confirms that the state attaches great importance to the regional and international dimensions of sustainable development.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Kamali said that an integrated planning tool has been developed by the United Nations Commission on African Affairs to meet the needs of African countries to link and integrate the UN Agenda 2030 and Africa Agenda 2063 into national development plans.
Ms. Nada Yaqoub, Economic Researcher at the Sustainable Development Unit at the Ministry of Planning carried out the coordinating side in cooperation with the United Nations Commission on African Affairs, where a set of training sessions have been prepared.
Moreover, coordination is currently underway for another set of sessions during next October to deepen the interdependence between the three agendas; National, regional and international, and how to use the tool to ensure consistency between Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the UN 2030 and African 2063 agendas.
It is noteworthy that the first training sessions were held last Wednesday, and the second session was attended by representatives of the Ministry's Sustainable Development Unit, the Modeling and Forecasting Unit at the Ministry, the Technical Office of the Deputy Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and the Sustainable Development Unit at the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
