Minya Governorate Hosts Inspection and Collaboration Talks on Smart Green Projects

Ambassador Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister of Planning, Excellence, Initiatives, and National Coordinator for the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, visited Minya Governorate. During his visit, he met with Major General Osama El Qadi, the Governor of Minya, to explore avenues for collaboration between the initiative and the governorate. The meeting was attended by the owners of the four winning projects from Minya in various categories of the initiative's second edition.
Ambassador Hisham Badr commended Minya's achievements through its four winning projects in the second edition of the initiative, emphasizing that these projects exemplify the innovation and excellence of Minya's residents. He praised the governor's support for project owners, highlighting that the initiative underscores Egypt's capacity, demonstrated by its citizens' ingenuity, to contribute to climate change solutions globally.
Badr emphasized the initiative's significance as a pioneering global model, providing practical environmental solutions from Egyptian governorates and villages participating in climate conferences. He underscored the initiative's role in promoting competition and innovation, noting a substantial enhancement in project quality during the second edition. This reflects its influence in reshaping the Egyptian citizen's perspective by enabling broad participation and establishing a database facilitating access to investors and funders.
During the meeting, the Minya Governor discussed various developmental aspects witnessed by Minya through national projects aligned with sustainable development plans. He reaffirmed the governorate's commitment to the Green Projects Initiative, expressing pride in Minya's four positions in the initiative's second edition.
