The Egypt Government Excellence Award has announced the extension of the deadline for receiving nominations from participating entities in the fourth cycle of the 2024 award until Thursday, March 7th, in response to requests from several entities to complete the required data.
Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, emphasized that the Egypt Government Excellence Award is a culmination of the efforts of Egyptian cadres in various entities to provide distinguished services to citizens. She highlighted that the main objective of the award is to foster a spirit of competition and excellence, reflected in improving the quality of work, enhancing the efficiency of institutions, and contributing to providing better services.
Ambassador Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister of Planning for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence, Initiatives, and General Supervisor of the Award, affirmed that the Egypt Government Excellence Award is aligned with the Sustainable Development Plan "Egypt Vision 2030". The plan aims to establish a competent, efficient, and accountable administrative apparatus that contributes to development and responds to citizens. He noted that the deadline for submitting nominations on the electronic system is targeted for April, with nominations closing in June 2024. The process will then proceed to desktop evaluation, field visits, and arbitration during July and August, followed by the announcement of results and honoring of the winners.
It is worth noting that the management of the Egypt Government Excellence Award has updated the institutional and service awards guidelines, as well as some individual awards guidelines, to align with the nature of government entities' work and efforts towards achieving results.
