H.E. Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, attended the graduation ceremony of the second batch of the "Be an Ambassador for Sustainable Development" initiative. The event, graced by Dr. Yasmin Fouad, Minister of Environment, and Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, celebrated the culmination of a journey marked by education, learning, and dedication.


In her opening address, Dr. Hala El Said emphasized the significance of graduation ceremonies as catalysts for positive energy. She elaborated on Egypt's Vision 2030, aligning with the UN goals, emphasizing the need to broaden societal awareness. El Said highlighted the pivotal role of youth as ambassadors for sustainable development, recognizing Egypt's demographic advantage with 60% youth population.


The ceremony symbolized the partnership between key stakeholders in development, emphasizing the integral roles of youth and women in achieving sustainable goals. El Said emphasized the initiative's continuity and expansion since its inception in 2020, with specialized batches catering to diverse sectors, including journalism and disability advocacy.


Acknowledging the initiative's impact on society, El Said commended its recognition through international and local awards. She announced the launch of the "Youth for Development" initiative, aimed at university students, and its integration with the national agenda for smart green projects, advancing local sustainability objectives.


El Said emphasized the importance of civil visits as advocated by the initiative, highlighting villages awarded the "Efficiency" certificate for their commitment to green practices. She lauded the Ministry of Environment's efforts in preserving natural reserves, vital for sustainable development objectives.


In conclusion, El Said urged graduates and youth to capitalize on Egypt's diverse training opportunities, emphasizing the pivotal role of continuous learning in enhancing employment prospects amidst evolving global dynamics.
