During Her Visit to New Valley Governorate: The Minister of Planning and Economic Development Inspects the First Place Winner in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects' Small Local Category the Green Rural Housing Project

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala El-Said, inspected the Green Rural Housing project in the New Valley governorate, as part of her tour in the governorate to inaugurate and inspect a number of development projects, where she was received by General Mohamed Al-Zamlout, Governor of the New Valley. The Minister was accompanied by Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, Yahya Abu Al-Fattouh, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Egypt, Dr. Hiba Mghoub, Supervisor of the Ministry's Regional Planning Sector, Dr. Mohamed Alokbi, Media Adviser of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
On the first stop of the tour, Dr. Hala El-Said visited the New Valley governorate, which included the inspection of the Green Rural Housing project in cooperation with MSA University and the winner of first place at the national level in the category of small local projects in the second round of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects (NISGP), where emphasized that the second round of the initiative saw an unprecedented turnout of entrepreneurs who provide creative solutions to address the challenges of climate change and foster the transformation towards green economy. This reflects the Egyptian state's eagerness to attract and encourage opportunities for environmental and climate investment and environmentally friendly solutions and adapt to and reduce climate change in all Egyptian governorates.
El-Said noted that NISGP comes within the framework of the Egyptian State's direction to integrate the environmental and climate dimensions into the State's plans for sustainable development in line with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030, which represents the governing framework for all national development programs, initiatives, and projects, as part of the strategic goals of the updated vision, and the goal of reaching an “integrated sustainable ecosystem.”
