Egypt Government Excellence Awards Follows Up the Progress of the Internal Excellence Awards at Port Said University

The Egypt Government Excellence Awards held a meeting, with the arbitration committee of the Internal Excellence Awards at Port Said University, led by the Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence, and Initiatives, and the General Supervisor of the Award, Ambassador Hisham Badr, in the presence of President of Port Said University, Dr. Ayman Ibrahim, to follow up on the final arbitration process for the university’s internal awards’ first edition. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rawya Rizk, Vice President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Abd Rabbo, Dean of the Productivity and Quality Institute at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of the Educational Institutions Awards at Egypt Government Excellence Awards.
During the meeting, Amb. Hisham Badr pointed out the expansion witnessed by the award in implementing the internal excellence system at the university level, to include in its first and second editions 13 universities out of a total of 27 government universities to deepen the culture of institutional excellence in all government agencies, creating a qualitative shift in institutional performance and working to equip entities to participate in the nationwide “Egypt Government Excellence Awards” in its fourth session 2024, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities, a key partner in implementing and supporting the excellence system within public universities. He also stressed the importance of the prominent and pioneering role of universities not only for their effort in the education and scientific research field but also for serving as centers of excellence.
Badr praised the support of the university leaders their eagerness to implement the system of internal excellence, and their continuous cooperation and coordination with the award administration to spread and deepen the culture of excellence and institutional development at the level of its colleges and distinguished cadres.
On the other hand, Dr. Ayman Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, highlighted the preparedness of all university employees for all cutthroat competitions characterized by commitment and discipline, noting that participation in the Government Excellence Award is an opportunity to unleash the optimum intellectual and creative energy to serve the work environment.
It is noteworthy that 9 colleges have applied for the Institutional Excellence Awards for the “Government Colleges Category” out of a total of 14 colleges at the university, to qualify, 5 collages, for the visits round, competing internally to win the Port Said University Internal Excellence Awards in preparation for the top three to qualify to the national level to compete with the Egypt Government Excellence Award’s next session in 2024.
