On the Sidelines of Her Participation in the 17th Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong: The Minister of Planning and Economic Development invites Hong Kong's Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development to Visit Egypt

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development Dr. Hala El-Said, met the Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development in Hong Kong Algernon Yau to discuss the opportunities for enhancing future cooperation, while participating in the seventeenth edition of the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong, titled, "Multilateral Cooperation for a Common Tomorrow."
During the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said pointed out Egypt's reforms in previous years, which included streamlining and facilitating investment procedures, along with multiple mega development and infrastructure projects in the areas of transport and new and renewable energy to build an attractive investment environment. She also highlighted Egypt's sovereign fund role as the state investment arm in creating investment opportunities for national and foreign investors while safeguarding the rights of future generations.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation between Egypt and Hong Kong by reviewing potential investment opportunities in Egypt at both the governmental and private sector levels, projects implemented through Egypt's sovereign fund, the investment arm of the Egyptian state, and discussing ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the areas of the economy, climate change, investment promotion, and infrastructure.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said invited Hong Kong's Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development to visit Egypt with a delegation of businessmen to explore areas of cooperation and investment opportunities in Egypt.
