Minister Hala El Said Takes Center Stage at the 17th Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong

H.E. Dr. Hala El Said, the Minister of Planning and Economic Development, assumed a central role in the 17th edition of the Asian Financial Forum held in Hong Kong under the theme "Multilateral Cooperation for a Shared Tomorrow." The forum, spanning January 24 and 25, attracted a distinguished gathering of global financial and business leaders. Minister El Said actively contributed to various sessions during the forum, including the general session focusing on multilateral cooperation.
In her participation, Dr. Hala El Said illuminated the pivotal initiatives of the Ministry, addressing climate change and showcasing private investments in Egypt. The minister also conducted a comprehensive tour within the Egyptian pavilion, an integral part of the forum's sidelines.
Scheduled bilateral meetings featured discussions with key figures such as Hong Kong's CEO John Lee, Dilma Rousseff, Director of the New Development Bank under BRICS, Christopher Hui, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of Hong Kong, and other notable leaders. Minister El Said engaged in insightful discussions with prominent figures in the financial and business sectors, including Robert Ng, Chairman of Sino Group, Alexander Ng, General Manager and leading real estate developer in Hong Kong, Edward Yau, Hong Kong's Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, and executives from Hutchison Group. The agenda also included a meeting with Dr. Mohammed Al Jasser, President of the Islamic Development Bank.
The Ministry remains steadfast in fostering international collaboration and showcasing Egypt's economic endeavors on the global stage.
