The Ministry of Planning is delighted to announce the impactful engagement of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, spearheaded by Ambassador Hisham Badr, in the recent virtual assembly of the World Councils for Sustainable Development Goals.


Ambassador Badr, with unwavering commitment, highlighted the enduring strength of Egyptian-Emirati relations and positioned the National Initiative as an outstanding model for fostering effective climate action and sustainable development. This pioneering initiative, celebrated for its innovative solutions to environmental challenges, aspires to set a global benchmark.


In elucidating the National Initiative's multifaceted approach, Ambassador Badr underscored the strategic importance of partnerships and concerted efforts in addressing the complexities of climate change. The Ministry extends its commendation for the initiative's sustained commitment to capacity building, extensive training programs, and collaborative ventures—a sentiment echoed by esteemed participants in the meeting.


Abdullah Lutah, Deputy Minister for Cabinet Affairs in the UAE, expressed profound interest in the National Initiative's achievements, deeming it a "success story worth sharing" and emphasizing the importance of international collaboration.


Distinguished participants, including representatives from IRENA, Schneider Electric, and the UAE Arts Foundation, commended the initiative's inclusive strategies. They particularly applauded its emphasis on empowering youth and women across Egypt, recognizing the profound impact on social and economic dynamics.


The Ministry of Planning proudly presents the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects as an influential force, solidifying Egypt's commitment and contribution to global sustainable development.
