22 January 2024

The Armed Forces College of Medicine has successfully concluded the "Excellence Ambassadors Qualification" training, earning Egypt's Government Excellence Award. This two-day program, held at the college's headquarters, aimed to equip the institution for the upcoming fourth edition of the award in 2024.

This historic collaboration marks the Armed Forces' inaugural participation in the Government Excellence Award, reflecting mutual interest. Soha Saeed, the award's executive director, outlined diverse categories during the opening session and committed to providing technical support for enhancing the college's capabilities.

Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam, director of awards for educational institutions, highlighted criteria for government institutional excellence, including alignment with Egypt Vision 2030, execution of key tasks, delivery of seven-star services, adoption of e-government/smart government, and a focus on innovation. The innovation axis involves forward-looking policies based on accurate predictions and creating an environment fostering innovation.

The third axis encompasses human capital, resource management, governance, risk management, and business continuity. The overarching goal is to deepen the culture of excellence and organizational development across state sectors, ultimately enhancing citizens' quality of life and elevating Egypt's leadership and competitiveness.
