Egypt’s Planning Minister Inaugurates "Professionals 2030" conference

H.E. Dr. Hala El Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, marked today a significant milestone by inaugurating the "Professionals 2030" conference in Cairo. Held under the auspices of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and organized by the Ministry of Labor, the event brought together prominent government officials, including Minister of Labor Hassan Shihata, and esteemed dignitaries.
In her opening remarks, Minister El Said emphasized the pivotal role of the conference in fostering constructive dialogue between government officials and stakeholders from the workforce and employers. This dialogue aims to establish effective partnerships for the development of the education and vocational training sector, influencing positively the trajectory of Egypt's future workforce.
Commending the "Professionals 2030" project, Minister El Said underscored its alignment with the state's strategic focus on technical education. She highlighted the dynamic nature of the labor market and the imperative for adaptive skills, emphasizing the collaborative approach of the project that unites government efforts with the private sector and civil society for comprehensive and sustainable development.
Minister El Said outlined the structural reforms, emphasizing Egypt's commitment to building a comprehensive system for technical education and vocational training. The measures include the expansion of technological schools and universities and the establishment of Sectoral Skills Councils to address real needs in the labor market.
Furthermore, Minister El Said highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and various entities to establish an information system for the labor market. This system aims to provide detailed insights into labor market needs, supply, and demand.
Minister El Said reiterated the Egyptian state's unwavering belief in the importance of entrepreneurship and its pivotal role in creating employment opportunities. She emphasized the state's support for entrepreneurs and the legislative environment fostering such programs. The inauguration of the "Professionals 2030" conference marks a transformative step in shaping Egypt's vocational training landscape, setting the stage for a dynamic and skilled workforce in the years to come.
