Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Hala El Said, conducted a meeting to oversee the executive progress of the National Project for the Development of Egyptian Families. The meeting, held in Cairo, included key officials such as Dr. Jamil Helmy, Kamal Nasr, Dr. Khaled Zakaria, Dr. Mohamed El Maghreby, Dr. Amira Tawadros, Dr. Amr Sleiman, and Dr. Sherine Beshara.
Dr. Hala El Said emphasized the unparalleled support the project receives from political leadership, highlighting its pivotal role in addressing population issues through a comprehensive developmental approach. The project introduces economic activities empowering women, including a program of positive incentives to encourage desired changes in fertility. Digital interventions aim to ensure smart access for target groups, enhancing monitoring and evaluation processes.
During the meeting, a presentation showcased the initiative of performance-based incentives at the governorate level, detailing mechanisms to motivate citizens for registration at post offices. The services upon registration, eligibility criteria, and implementation procedures were also outlined.
In late December, Dr. Hala El Said and Dr. Amr Talaat witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and the National Postal Authority. This protocol aims to enhance economic empowerment efforts for women under the National Project for the Development of Egyptian Families, providing financial and non-financial services through the Egyptian Post.
