NIGSD Celebrates Success of Women's Leadership Program in Collaboration with USAID

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development(NIGSD),the training arm of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, proudly announces the successful completion of the first and second phases of the "Guidance for Women Leaders Working in the Egyptian Government" [Mentorship program].
This initiative, conducted in partnership with the Economic Governance Project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has empowered 21 executive women within the state's administrative apparatus.
Dr. Sherifa Sherif, the Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development, emphasized the Egyptian government's dedication to training and capacity building for women. She highlighted the various training programs available for both genders or specifically tailored for women, showcasing the nation's achievements in women's empowerment, combating corruption, and promoting gender equality.
Dr. Rahab Faraaj, the General Manager of Human Capacity Development at the institute, shed light on the technical aspects of the second phase. The training covered crucial topics such as emotional management, stability, influence, persuasion, and the development of effective work relationships with subordinates, colleagues, and managers. Additionally, participants delved into building self-confidence, understanding trust-building principles, and comprehending the impact of emotions on behavior. The program also provided insights into creating strong connections with others.
This milestone underscores Egypt's commitment to supporting and empowering women, a cornerstone of the nation's developmental strategy. The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development remains steadfast in its pursuit of fostering capable and empowered women leaders within the government.
