NIGSD, GIZ Successfully Conclude First Phase of "Together for the Inclusion of People with Determination"*

The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) proudly announces the successful completion of the inaugural phase of the collaborative initiative, "Together for the Inclusion of People with Determination." This endeavor, conducted in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation’s (GIZ) project supporting E-governance and innovation in public administration , marks a significant step towards fostering inclusivity and empowerment.

Under the leadership of Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of NIGSD, the first phase engaged approximately 32 trainees representing People of Determination from both government and non-government sectors. Dr. Sherif elucidated that the primary objective of the initiative is to develop a comprehensive guide for the integration of People of Determination into governmental institutions in Egypt. Furthermore, the initiative sought to collect proposals for activating this integration, leveraging the wealth of experiences shared by participants.

Dr. Sherif underscored the commitment of NIGSD to supporting and empowering persons with disabilities, aligning with the organization's broader mission of conducting research and training activities to elevate the national workforce in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030.

The culmination of the initiative featured insightful presentations by trainees, showcasing their proposals to enhance support for persons with disabilities across various government institutions. Certificates of attendance were distributed on the closing day, with Dr. Rahab Faraaj, General Manager of the General Administration for Human Capacity Development at NIGSD, and representatives from the German organization GIZ, gracing the occasion.

This successful collaboration reflects NIGSD and GIZ's dedication to advancing inclusivity, contributing to a more empowered and diverse workforce in Egypt
