Egypt’s Planning Minister, Honeywell Executive Chairman meet to discuss ways of joint future cooperation in priority areas

H.E. Dr.Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with Darius Adamczyk, Honeywell Executive Chairman to discuss ways to enhance joint future cooperation in priority areas in Egypt.

The meeting took place during Cop28 which is currently being held starting from November 30 to December 12, 2023, in Dubai

During the meeting, El-Said highlighted the role of The Sovereign Fund of Egypt (TSFE), the investment arm of the Egyptian state, in attracting investments, increasing the participation of the local and foreign private sector in the economy, and maximizing the return on assets.

“The state aims to launch effective partnerships with the private sector and enhance its role as a powerful engine of growth, to attract private investments to achieve comprehensive and sustainable growth.” She said.

El-Said pointed out the importance of investing in energy efficiency, training, and raising efficiency and working to implement these investments in innovative and modern ways.

During the meeting, future cooperation mechanisms for investment in green hydrogen, green data centers, and priority areas in Egypt were discussed.

 Honeywell representatives also reviewed the most important projects implemented by the company in Egypt.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mona Essam, Assistant Minister of Planning and Economic Development for Sustainable Development Affairs, and Anant Maheshwari, President and CEO of Honeywell's Global High Growth Regions.
