Egypt’s Planning Minister receives a high-level Bahraini ministerial delegation to discuss cooperation plans

H.E. Dr.Hala El-Said, Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development, received a high-level Bahraini ministerial delegation to discuss ways of joint cooperation.
The reception took place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
The Bahraini delegation is headed by His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
The delegation members include Mr. Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Nour bint Ali Al Khalif, Minister of Sustainable Development.
During the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said highlighted the depth of the long-standing historical relations between Egypt and Bahrain.
She referred to cooperation in several fields, especially on the economic and investment side.
The Minister of Planning and Economic Development said that the challenges that countries of the world are currently facing require more solidarity and cooperation between Arab countries.
For his part, Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, asserted that this visit is preparation for the upcoming visit of Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to activate joint initiatives between the two countries.
Sheikh Salman pointed out the promising investment opportunities available in Egypt, which confirm the importance of the economic movement in Egypt.
Sheikh Salman said that these opportunities are global opportunities and compete with the best investment opportunities available in the world in terms of returns and investment values, as Egypt has commercial, logistical and tourism opportunities that will affect the movement of the global economy.
The meeting was attended from the Bahraini side by Ambassador Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. Samir Abdullah Nass, President of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan, CEO of the Economic Development Board, Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, Mrs. Nouf Abdul Rahman Jamsheer, Undersecretary for Research and Projects in the Office of Bahrain’s Prime Minister and Eng. Nawaf Hashem Al-Sada, Assistant Undersecretary for International Cooperation Affairs at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
From the Egyptian Ministry of Planning, Dr. Sherifa Sherif, Executive Director of the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) was present .
Moreover, Ambassador Hisham Badr, Assistant Minister for Strategic Partnerships, Excellence and Initiatives, Kamal Nasr, Assistant Minister for Technical Office Affairs, Dr. Mona Essam, Assistant Minister for Sustainable Development, Ambassador Hazem Khairat, Director of the Ministry’s International Cooperation Office, Wael Ziadeh, Assistant Minister for Investment Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed El-Okaby, Media Advisor to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development were among the attendees.
